Hi there! Thank you for visiting my ‘Request a Review’ page.
As an Indie Author, I understand the value of reviews and ratings. When I started reviewing books, it was with the express intention of helping out authors. Particularly debut authors.
Below, you’ll read everything you need to know before requesting a review from me.
What You Need To Know
1) You are never too small to request a review.
Whether you have 4,000 followers or 4, I want to hear about your book. Your subscriber count does not matter. The value of your work is more important to me than follower count.
2) I will not review a book I feel is less than 3 stars.
This industry is cut throat and competitive enough, I feel no desire to tear apart somebody’s work. In the event I feel a book is deserving of a 2, or 1 star rating, will decline to review it. I will share my opinions/insight if you’re comfortable with hearing it.
3) My preferred genres are:
Adult fantasy, YA fantasy, Urban Fantasy, High Fantasy, Dark Fairytale/Retellings, Mysteries, Contemporary Romance, PNR, Dark Romance, Romantic Suspense. Anything featuring strong-female leads, POC leads, and LGBT* representation is immediately at the top of the list for me. I’m open to most anything, it doesn’t hurt to ask!
4) Where I review:
I will review your book on Amazon, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, BookBub and Goodreads. I may be able to review elsewhere upon request, depending on the platform/their review requirements. Please include a link to where you would like to see your review when I ask for a copy of the book.
5) I do accept ARCs!
Please give me at least two weeks notice so I can prioritize your book! Make sure to lead your email with your proposed deadline so I can give you a better idea if I can be apart of your ARC team!
6) “Review for review” is not necessary, but certainly appreciated.
Let me know if you’d be interested in receiving a copy/being included in an ARC team for any of my books in the main body of your email!
