Review: Enchanted Forests by Various Authors

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I was contacted a few months ago to review an anthology, Enchanted Forests. This collection of short stories came out on July 1st, 2022 — all of its proceeds are going to The Rainforest Foundation, which is a non-profit that supports the indigenous and traditional people who live within the rainforest.

Of course, I was all on board!

Unfortunately, a few bouts of covid, a crippling case of burnout, and a burgeoning work schedule meant that a few of my ARCs had to be put on the back burner. And boy, was I glad that this was the light at the end of the tunnel!

Enchanted Forests is a beautiful collection from talented writers, including Astrid V.J., Alice Ivinya, Jennifer Kropf, Sky Sommers, Lyndsey Hall, Ben Lang, N.D.T. Casale, Elena Shelest, Xander Cross, and Donna White!

Each short story features a rainforest — whether it’s about a boy escaping with his beloved tortoise or gnomes escaping captivity. Each story is well written, carrying a strong voice and fantastical settings. I can safely say that this is a book I would not mind having on my shelf! Especially knowing that it goes for a great cause!

Congratulations, authors! You’ve done a remarkable job with this one!
